Linda Law - Founder and National Chair
Linda is the founding partner of Law & Associates, one of the only women-owned real estate development firms undertaking institutional-quality development in the United States. Based in the Silicon Valley, the firm develops and acquires high-impact commercial and mixed-use projects for its own account.


Ms. Law is an alumnus of University of California, Berkeley and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is the founder of the Harvard Real Estate Academic Center and is also Vice Chairman of the Harvard Real Estate International Advisory Board.

Ms. Law additionally serves as a national board member of ORT America, Silicom Ventures, Fame Theory, the Harvard Design Magazine, the Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Executive Education Board, and the Real Estate Advisory Board of the University of California at Berkeley. She also serves as a board member of the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life and Culture. Ms. Law also works with the Stanford Medical Center where she is currently developing the nation’s only Geriatric Health Services Program.

Diane Sembler-Kamins - NWC National Vice Chair

Diane Sembler-Kamins is actively involved in serving her community and being politically involved.  Diane has served her local Jewish Federation in many capacities from campaign chair, budget and allocations chair, Main Event co-chair, as well as being a member of the National Women’s Young Leadership Cabinet.  She also served the national organization as Solicitation trainer.  Diane was vice president for development chair and President for the Pinellas County Jewish Day School.  She was co-chair of the Jewish Outreach for the State of Florida in the Bush 04 race.

Diane has served on the Temple Beth-El Art Festival committee, a large weekend art show supporting the Temple for the past 35 years. 

Diane has been a member of the RJC over the past 19 years and has been involved with political interests, with her family, during these years. 

The Honorable Cheryl Halpern – National Honorary Chair

Cheryl is Chairman of the Board for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, has a long record of public service in broadcasting, women's issues, education, and international affairs.
Mrs. Halpern has been nominated to the boards of both national and international public broadcasting organizations by Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

In 1990, Mrs. Halpern was confirmed as a member of the Board for International Broadcasting and as a director of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL). From 1995 through 2002, she served on the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) overseeing Voice of America, Radio and TV Marti, RFE/RL, Worldnet, Radio Free Asia and Radio Free Iraq. While serving on the BBG she helped create Radio Sawa, America's Arabic radio service to the Middle East. In August 2002, Mrs. Halpern was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as a director of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). In September 2005, she was elected to be chairman of the CPB.

As a Presidentially-appointed U.S. delegate to the OSCE Conference on Anti-Semitism in 2003, Mrs. Halpern spoke before the plenary council on children's programming and textbook development. She has supported the development of "Sesame Stories," a program produced by the Sesame Workshop for Israeli, Jordanian and Palestinian children. In 2005 she helped bring the exhibit "Children of Jerusalem Painting Pain, Dreaming Peace" to the Palace of Westminster in London.

Mrs. Halpern was a delegate from the Coordinating Board of Jewish Organizations to the 4th United Nations World Conference on Women's Rights in 1995 in Beijing. In April 2005, she participated in the Iraqi Women's Educational Institute conference in Jordan and addressed the importance of developing democratic values through education. In 2006 she became a member of the Women's Democracy Network.

Mrs. Halpern's civic involvement includes participation on the boards of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, the President's Advisory Council of Barnard College and the International Republican Institute. She also chaired the character education program of the Words Can Heal organization, a national campaign to curb gossip, fight verbal abuse and promote ethical speech.

Mrs. Halpern has an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from New York University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Barnard College of Columbia University. Mrs. Halpern lives in New Jersey with her husband Fred.

Ilene Flaum – National Honorary Chair

Ilene Flaum is actively involved in running a family owned real estate business with her husband, David.  The business is primarily real estate ownership, finance and management.

Ilene sits on the Board of Trustees for Monroe Community College in Rochester New York -- an appointment by Governor Pataki  and also serves on the Board of Trustees Jewish Community Center of Rochester. Ilene is a New York State Senate Women of Distinction Honoree and former member of Hillel Foundations Budget Committee for large donors for the Jewish Federation of Rochester.

In addition to these roles, Ilene is also a member Lion of Judah member of Appreciation Committee for large donors for Jewish Federation of Rochester and was secretary and major fundraiser at Jewish Family Service. Ilene founded the “Family Tree Society, a group of large donors for the Jewish Family Service and is a member of Sisterhood Temple Beth El.

Ms. Flaum was appointed Honorary Chair of Public Television and is a former Co-Chair of Public Television Auction and Fine Arts Auction. 

Ilene is passionate about furthering the development of young Jewish athletes and was Vice-Chair of 1999 Maccabi Games involving 1400 Jewish athletes ages 13-16, in Rochester New York. In addition, Ilene and David were recipients of the Sports for Israel Benjamin and Seymour Krieger Special Contributor Award in 2005

Ilene is a recipient of Syracuse University School of Management Alumni of the Year Award.

Betsy Berns Korn - Chair, New York and New England

Betsy is the founder and President of The Female Fan Group and has dedicated her professional career to making sports more accessible to women. She is the author of: “Win, Place and Show: A Female Fan Guide to Thoroughbred Racing,” “The Female Fan Guide to Pro Football” and “The Female Fan Guide to Motorsports.”

Betsy is a frequent contributor to and guest on national and regional radio, television and internet programs and has appeared on over 300 radio stations and TV networks. She has served as a consultant to the National Football League, for which she developed, designed and implemented their Football 101 instructional series for women, which is now offered by the league in every NFL market. In order to reach sports’ female fan base, Betsy has also worked with;  
Procter & Gamble, Norwegian Cruise Lines, CBS SportsLine, Seagram’s Wine Coolers, Chi Chi Salsa, Paramount Studios, Disney, NBC Sports, NBC’s Ivillage.com, and Nasonex.

Betsy owns and maintains a website, www.femalefan.com where she writes her columns. To help promote her columns and her sports books, she has been appearing on and been featured on many TV and radio stations as well as in print publications. She has appeared in; New York Post, Today Show with Ann Curry, New York Times, MSNBC Weekend Today, Variety, Fox 5, WB11, ESPN and Lifetime.

Betsy Korn earned an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management of Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College. She is a member of the Executive Committee for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). She sits on the boards of the Republican Majority for Choice, Center for the Study of Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights at Claremont McKenna College, and the Greenwich UJA.

Betsy was the youngest member of the California delegation (alternate delegate for the Republican National Convention) for George Bush Sr. in 1988.

Nina Cunningham – Chair, Illinois State
Nina is President and CEO of QUIDLIBET RESEARCH INC. and has been a
consultant to law firms and small businesses for almost 25 years,
beginning with a legal information brokerage service she started in
1979. Prior to that time, Dr. Cunningham worked with the United States
District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Her firm
specializes in reducing the cost of operations in law firms,
particularly in library and information services.  She has given
considerable attention to enhancing the role of library, research, and
information services in marketing and practice development for private
law firms.

In addition to the M.L.S. in Library & Information Science, Nina
Cunningham has a Ph.D. in Philosophy and an MBA. in Strategic Management
from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, where she
also focused on Entrepreneurship. She has taught quality management,
philosophy, business ethics, and professional responsibility.
Jillian Manus – Chair, California State

Jillian Manus is president of Manus & Associates Literary & Media Agency, Inc., with offices in New York City and Palo Alto, CA. She represents a wide range of authors . . . non-fiction and fiction including:  Jerry Rice, Russell Simmons, Ken Walsh, Dr. Lorraine Zappert, Mark Victor Hansen, Newt Gingrich, Lalita Tademy, Honorable James Rogan, Robert Allen, Doug Wead, Bill Millikin. Ms. Manus’ clients also include numerous media companies.  She works with them to create new business opportunities, as well as to leverage their existing assets.  She brings to her work extensive knowledge of the marketplace that has been acquired in the course of a distinguished and multi-faceted career.

Ms. Manus has been a television agent at International Creative Management, director of development at Warner Brothers and Universal Studios, vice president of media acquisitions at Trender AG/Credit Suisse, and an associate publisher of two national magazines covering entertainment and technology. Due to her extensive background, she is a much sought after speaker on writing, media analysis, women in business and politics.

Ms. Manus lends her time to professional, artistic, and practical endeavors.  She serves as a member on the following national and community boards: Trustees for New York University, Dean’s Council for the Tisch School of the Arts, W.I.S.H. List (Women in the Senate and House), College Track, California Museum for Women History and the Arts, Communities in Schools, Stanford Hospital’s Cancer Center and serves as state Chair of the RWNC. She is also the Chair for the Governor’s California Women’s Conference, which is the largest in the country.  Ms. Manus also remains very active in the development efforts of numerous literacy, education, healthcare and environmental programs globally, with a particular focus on the empowerment and protection of women and children.

Ms. Manus is an involved mother and is married to Alan E. Salzman, founding partner of Vantage Point Venture Partners. When she isn’t working or mothering, she loves to golf and run… literally! 
Gina Rosenfield Chair, Northern California
Gina Rosenfield graduated from USF law school in 1990 summa cum laude. Initially, she clerked forJusticePanelliin the California Supreme Court. Subsequently, she practiced business litigation and appellate law for several years in a private firm inPalo Alto,California. Thereafter,Ginaacted as a research attorney for the San Mateo Superior Court. After her fourth child, she left the law to establish a design firm inHillsborough,California.

Gina’s interests have continued to expand into the public sector. She now sits on two local boards: AIPAC and the Jewish Community Relations Council, where she is co-chairing the Energy Independence task force. She is also a founding member and former co-chair of the Northern California Chapter of the Republican Jewish Coalition. In addition,Ginais serving her second term on the San Mateo County Central Committee.
Nickie Shapira – Chair, Southern California

Nickie is the Managing Partner for JNS Capital, a privately held investment vehicle for companies in the realms of urban entertainment, music licensing, international trade, real estate and mining. Prior to that, she served as a business development consultant for companies such as Tyco International, ADT, EZ Gov, Anheuser Busch and Earth Tech. She is a board member of Children Uniting Nations—one of the most well respected foundations helping foster children and orphans in the United States and throughout the world. She is also on the board of the Maccabi World Games. She is a member of the Advisory Board for AIPAC. She is also a Republican Regent and the Republican Chair for Women’s Alliance PAC, and most recently, was appointed the Southern CA Chair of the National Women’s Committee of the Republican Jewish Coalition. She is a graduate of Princeton University.

Jillian Hasner, NWC Director

Jillian is president of Revolution 537, Inc. an international strategic planning, crisis communications and special events firm. Prior to this, Jillian served as the Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition of Florida.

Ms. Hasner has worked in government and politics for seventeen years. She has served in senior positions for former U.S. Secretary Mel Martinez, who is currently serving as United States Senator for the State of Florida, and has also served with the U.S. Agency for International Development & the U.S. State Department.

Prior to joining the Bush Administration in Washington, D.C., Jillian was named Executive Director of the Bush-Cheney 2000 Campaign & Florida Victory 2000 Campaigns. Jillian served as the Director of External Affairs & Scheduling in the Office of Florida Governor Jeb Bush and as the Director of Scheduling & Events in the 1998 Jeb Bush for Governor Campaign.

Ms. Hasner has been privileged to serve former President George H.W. Bush, U.S. Senator Mike DeWine, current Director of the Office of Management & Budget and former Congressman Rob Portman, Congressman Steve LaTourette, and other officials.

Jillian Hasner – NWC Director

Lisa Spies Chair, Washington, DC

Lisa Spies is the Finance Director for Senator John Thune (R-SD). She oversees Friends of John Thune (Re-elect 2010) as well as serving as Finance Director for Heartland Values PAC.  Described as a “Super-Fundraiser” by Capitol File Magazine in 2006, Lisa directs multi-million dollar national fundraising efforts including high-dollar events, direct mail and internet programs, and conferences of all sizes.

From 2004 to 2006, Mrs. Spies ran her own fundraising and events business and raised money for Senators Conrad Burns, Norm Coleman, Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl and John Thune, as well as the 2006 top national targeted Republican race, Michael Steele for US Senate. She raised money for target Governors races such as Dick DeVos for Governor in Michigan and Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle, as well as for “527” political and 501(c)(4) issue organizations.  She also led the successful $1 million dollar fundraising effort for the Republican Jewish Coalition’s 20th Anniversary Celebration with President Bush.  Previously, Mrs. Spies served as Director of the Senatorial Trust, the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s premier major-donor fundraising program.  Prior to that she served as Deputy Grassroots Director for the Republican Jewish Coalition and before that Deputy Executive Director for the College Republican National Committee during the 2000 Presidential election.

Lisa resides in Washington, DC and is married to Charlie Spies, the Chief Financial Officer and Counsel for the Mitt Romney for President Campaign.  Lisa currently serves as a Board Member of the DC Chapter of the Republican Jewish Coalition and on the Board of the Miss DC Scholarship Organization.  She is also the DC Chair of “Women for Mitt”. Mr. and Mrs. Spies sit on the Next Generation Board at the US Holocaust museum. In 2006 Lisa was appointed to the “Presidential Rank Award Distinguished Review Board” which recommended to President Bush outstanding members of the Senior Executive Service for the government’s top commendation.
